About us
This notice explains how Omnilex AG handles personal data when we contact senior in-house legal professionals at UK organizations about our legal-support services. It applies to our outreach by email and is provided to you because we hold limited professional contact data about you that we did not obtain directly from you. This notice is governed by the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are
The controller of your personal data is Omnilex AG, Hohlstrasse 186, 8004 Zürich, Switzerland (UID: CHE-264.938.111). For any data-protection matter you can contact us at support@omnilex.ai.
2. What personal data we hold
We process a limited set of business-context information about you:
your name;
your business email address;
your job title and professional role;
your employer / organization;
professional information you have made public (for example, your professional profile and publicly posted professional activity).
We do not seek or process special-category data, and we do not process this data to make any automated decision about you.
3. Where we obtained your data (source)
We did not collect this information directly from you. We obtained it from:
third-party business-data and contact-enrichment providers; and
publicly available professional sources, such as professional networking platforms, company websites, and public business information.
We use it only to contact you in your professional capacity about services that may be relevant to your role. We can tell you the specific source of your data on request.
4. Why we process it, and our lawful basis
We process your data to introduce Omnilex's legal-support services to senior in-house legal decision-makers for whom they are likely to be relevant, and to follow up once if we don't hear back.
Our lawful basis is **legitimate interests** (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). The legitimate interest is promoting relevant professional services to relevant business contacts. We have carried out a Legitimate Interests Assessment balancing our interest against your rights and concluded that, given the limited business-context data, the relevance to your role, your reasonable expectations as a senior professional, and the easy opt-out we provide, our interest is not overridden by your interests or rights. You can ask us for further information about this assessment.
5. Who we share it with
We share your data only with service providers acting on our behalf as processors — for example, our CRM, email-delivery, and data-enrichment providers — and only as needed to run this outreach. We do not sell your data or share it for others' marketing.
6. International Transfers
As a Swiss-based controller using service providers that may be located outside the UK, your data may be transferred internationally. Where it is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards — UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses — to protect it.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your contact details only as long as needed for this outreach, and — if you opt out — for the limited purpose of ensuring we don't contact you again.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
- **object to direct marketing at any time** — if you do, we will stop immediately and add you to our suppression list;
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have it corrected or erased;
- restrict or object to our processing;
- request portability of data you provided.
To exercise any of these, email support@omnilex.ai, or use the unsubscribe option in any email from us.
9. Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the UK supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) — ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to address it first.
10. A note on our services
Omnilex's UK legal-support offering is provided as non-reserved legal services in England & Wales. We are not a law firm and are not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
11. Cookies
We use cookies to analyze the use of the Website and improve our services. You can manage your cookie settings individually in your browser.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy. Changes take effect upon publication on our Website.
