How Dextra redefines legal protection with Omnilex

About Dextra

Dextra is the leading digital provider of legal protection solutions in Switzerland and is continuously expanding its pioneering role as a digital legal protection insurance company with innovative technologies. The company stands for customer-focused, personal legal services and combines legal expertise with a strong spirit of innovation. With Omnilex, Dextra optimizes legal research and makes internal know-how intentionally and efficiently usable.

Initial situation

Dextra has grown significantly in recent years. Consequently, the number of legal consultations and legal cases has also increased. At the same time, some of the valuable internal expertise remained untapped. The situation was clear: the legal departments of the future rely on artificial intelligence. Therefore, Dextra was also looking for a solution that:

— Supports legal professionals holistically and efficiently in their daily work

— Intelligent extracts internal knowledge and makes it optimally usable

— Enables innovative, long-term, and partnership-based collaboration on an equal footing.

Solution

After a comprehensive evaluation process of numerous AI solutions, Dextra opted for a partnership with Omnilex. As part of a pilot project, the platform was initially tested in legal consultations and within the specialist teams. During the pilot phase, the number of users was continuously expanded - the added value in legal research became quickly evident. Today, Omnilex is being used by all 130 employees of Dextra.

The use of Omnilex allows direct access to legal knowledge on specific issues - beyond a simple keyword search. The quick retrieval of relevant passages significantly reduces research effort and creates space for actual legal analysis. Particularly valuable is the intelligent linking of external legal sources with internal knowledge - such as comments or expert opinions. This breaks down knowledge silos and makes existing know-how purposefully usable. Information is thus fast, transparent, and accessible to all employees at any time. Use cases include:
