The kilometer allowances of the disability insurance (IV) for the use of foreign vehicles are regulated as follows: For travel by private car, the IV usually reimburses 45 cents per kilometer (Art. 51 Abs. 1 IVG in conjunction with svazurich.ch/unsere-produkte/iv/unterstuetzung-im-alltag/reisekosten-der-iv.html 4). For the use of passenger cars that have been loaned by the IV or for which the IV provides amortization contributions, the IV reimburses 30 cents per kilometer (up to 20 km per day) or 25 cents per kilometer (over 20 km per day) (ahv-iv.ch/p/4.05.d). Public Transportation: The IV basically only covers the costs for public transportation (2nd class). Other means of transport: If someone has to use another means of transport due to disability, they will receive the resulting costs from the IV. When traveling by private car, CHF 0.45 per kilometer will be reimbursed.

the insured person or a necessary companion relatives on visit the accompanying disabled vehicle, necessary luggage, and the guide dog Services Which travel costs are covered? The IV reimburses costs for trips on the direct route between the residence of the insured person and the nearest implementation site. If insured persons choose a farther implementation site than the nearest one, they must bear the additional costs themselves. In the local area, the IV office only covers costs starting from CHF 10.00 per month.
